Signed agreement for graduates and employees of Uniguajira with Roma Optical.

The University of La Guajira, through the Graduate Center, signed a specific cooperation agreement with the company Roma Óptical S.A.S of Riohacha, with the aim of providing optometry, visiometric services and the supply of lenses and frames for graduates and officials of the Alma Mater .

The alliance consists of offering discounts of 50% for consultations, 25% on the value of the frame and 30% on ophthalmic lenses. It will be valid for a term of three years and those interested must present their physical and/or virtual card at the time of accessing the service. With this, there are now four agreements signed by the institution for the more than 24,000 graduates of Uniguajira.

Alexis Cárdenas Pacheco, legal representative of Roma Optical assured that with this initiative they seek to offer the optometry service and recommend the best treatments according to the user’s needs. “For us it is gratifying to connect this type of agreement to strengthen our mission, which is to work to achieve better visual health,” said the businesswoman, who is also a graduate of the University’s International Business Program.

For her part, the director of the Graduate Center Silvia Roa Jaimes indicated that from her office “work has been done to strengthen the bond of graduates with Uniguajira and one of the key strategies has been the generation of business agreements that favor professionals in obtaining discounts on the purchase of goods or services and, in turn, as an institution, the economy of the region is promoted and promoted”.

Dassay Guerra Bermúdez, a graduate of the Early Childhood Education Degree Program, specified that it is a valuable benefit for the estate and a great opportunity to acquire useful products. “It is comforting to know that even after completing a program and graduating from this institution, we are taken into account and made to feel that we will always belong to it,” she added.

With this type of initiative, the university demonstrates its commitment to sustainable and social development, relying on the productive and economic sector of the department. It also hopes to continue strengthening ties with its graduates by managing new projects for the benefit of the academic community.
